The Client
Tara is a Brisbane-based kinesiologist and Akashic Records guide whose work spans client sessions, spiritual guidance, podcasting, digital education and online content.
As her work grew, so did the amount happening around it. There were podcast episodes to produce and publish, content to keep moving, students to support, digital platforms to maintain and systems behind her offers that needed ongoing attention.
My role sat across both Online Business Management and content support, which meant I was able to work across the operational and visibility sides of the business rather than treating them as completely separate areas.
The Challenge
Tara had already built a meaningful practice and body of work, but the operational load around it was increasing.
Her podcast was becoming difficult to keep on schedule, content and visibility required ongoing attention, student onboarding involved multiple platforms and there were digital assets and processes that needed maintaining alongside her client work.
The podcast in particular had become a significant mental load. Tara later described it as “a constant weight” that was affecting both her business and her clarity.
She needed someone who could become familiar with the moving pieces, take ownership of recurring work and bring a high level of organisation and care to the way it was managed.

More than managing a list of tasks
A lot of the work I did with Tara was practical. I published content, worked inside her platforms, supported students and managed recurring pieces of the business.
What made the support more valuable was the context that developed around that implementation.
I understood the podcast workflow, her content, the student experience, the platforms behind her offers and the way those pieces connected. That meant Tara did not need to re-explain the business every time something needed attention, and I could bring my own judgement and organisation to the work I was responsible for.
This is a large part of how I work as an Online Business Manager now. I am happy to be in the implementation, while still paying attention to the wider business that implementation is there to support.
